Ian is a hugely experienced player with countless gigs and festival appearances to his credit. His most recent performances include backing Jacqui Wicks at on the jazz stage at Glastonbury 2010 and rising vibes star Jim Hart in Nottingham. Ian also plays drums with guitarist Matt Chandler's Trio and can be heard on After MidnightÂÂ, Matt's critically-acclaimed debut album.
Neil studied classical piano and organ at Newcastle Cathedral and since the 1980s has focused on jazz, Latin, fusion and related genres. His range of styles makes him an eclectic and dynamic addition to any jazz group. Neil built his formidable reputation as a sideman alongside artists such as Tony Kofi and Sonny Bradshaw, working at venues throughout Europe and playing on sessions for UK and US labels.
Geoff: Double Bass
Geoff Pearson studied with the Berklee College of Music and has had a long and noteworthy career having played with some of the greats of the US jazz scene, including the likes of Art Farmer, James Moody, Johnny Griffin, Mark Murphy and Scott Hamilton. And in the UK with Jim Mullen, Dave O'Higgins, Alan Barnes,Henry Lowther and Phil Robson.
Geoff has played at most of the major jazz festivals throughout the UK and continues to be one of the most in-demand musicians on the Midlands jazz circuit.
